If It Be Your Will...

Perhaps you are getting tired of my poetry? Too bad, because, I have another one for you!

If it be Your will
If it pleases Thee,
I will go
Where You send me.

M'lord, I'll follow
Where You lead;
Just say the word
And I will leave.

I have desires
I have dreams,
And I offer them
Up to Thee.

If it be your will,
Make them so;
But if not
Then let me know.

For I want to do
The good, the right;
And if I must
I'll sacrifice.

What do you think?

Hey Shelby, that was beautiful! It reminds me of Abram when God told him to pack up and go without telling him where he was going. But it all worked out in the end for Abram, so it's good in the 'hood.

Say, do like my new avatar?

I thought it was wonderful! It reminded me of Susan in The Restorer. It was very good.

Hey Shelby! That was a masterpiece. It speaks truths on so many different levels. You're an awesome poet.

By the way, Araken, I like the avatar:)

That was great. God's will is hard (nay, impossible) to pedict, so we need to be ready for when he tells us to go, and be willing to go wherever he sends us. Great poetry!

P.S. Araken, I love the avatar!

Amazing poem....and one that, as Sapphira said, speaks many truths. I was touched by the part about sacraficing dreams and desires to God.

Another one of your good poems. I love poetry. It will never get old or tiresome

Shelby, you should really consider writing a short book or poetry or something like that. You have a lot of talent.

Glad y'all like the avatar!

You know Sapphira, I am writing a book...two books, actually. As for a book of poetry...that's not a bad idea! My mother writes free verse poetry and is very good at it...I've told her to put a poetry book together but never really thought about doing it myself.
